We went to the beach yesterday :)

J decided mid-way through the morning that he wanted to take the afternoon off, originally just so's we could do the Tesco shopping we'd planned for the evening, but then we decided we'd actually go and do Stuff as it was such a nice day. So we drove to Aldeburgh (which, incidentally, was where the the photo I used for my userpic was taken in January) and walked along the beach in the sun. Bought ice-creams and walked back along the edge of the sea :) We talked of random things, like jellyfish we used to see and the best way of keeping the stones one picks up on the beach. I need to find some varnish, I think. It was a nice afternoon :)

Came back via Tescos, where we bought lots of food - including duck to roast on Sunday :) Had not one, but two cars pull out directly infront of us on the drive back from Tescos ... muppets abound :/

I got a mail yesterday from someone I worked with several years ago ... and actually replied not only to her, but remembered to send mails out to some other people I had in the back of my mind that I needed to mail. Pointed several people at my journal who didn't know about it before, because it now has, like, content and stuff ;) (Hi! if you came to look).

Today's looking like we went to the beach on the right day - it's dark, and colder and generally gloomy looking. And I could do with actually getting going - maybe if I switched some lights on and wasn't sitting in the dark then I'd have a bit more oomph ;)

What a lovely sort of day, fun and productivity, too.

Minus the muppets, of course. (Er, use of "muppets"? In that it makes me think of Jim Henson puppets, which are generally not driving.)

Muppets are Jim Henson puppets ... but in slang usage they're also stupid people, I've mostly seen/used it online but I'm pretty sure it's in more general use in the UK too :)

Huh. I've not noticed the term used around here (the stupidity, especially on the roads, we have in spades). And I liked the show enough that it wouldn't've occurred to me to use it that way.
