I thought Flatterland was great, though I bought it from the "Math" section of the store, so I probably had a better idea of what to expect.

Did they file it under "fiction" at the library?

Yeah, was in the science fiction section - so I'd assumed about a 50/50 ratio ... but it was a bit more skewed to the physics/maths, and whilst I think it'll be interesting (so I've kept hold of it from the library) it was a little too much to deal with after a day at work ;)

If you haven't read it already, you might also try finding a copy of "Flatland" to read first. It's pretty short, and sort of gives some context to Flatterland.

It's also sort of interesting in that it's intended both as an introduction to some mathematical ideas, and as a satire of Victorian society.

Yeah, I read Flatland a while ago - my parents have a copy.
