I did have stuff I was going to do yesterday. And I even did some of it ... like the housework that needed doing. But the rest was kinda derailed by the idea I suddenly had mid-morning ... I thought it might be nice to play a multiplayer game of Civ4, so marble and I spent most of the rest of the day doing so :) There's the ability to set teams up (though it's badly documented, Civ games never have had good documentation, so it took 2 attempts to work out how to set it up - for those who care, there are numbers after the player slots in the multiplayer set up window, those are your team numbers) so Marble and I are joining forces against the AIs. By the end of the day we'd stomped all over one of the other teams (the Incans and the Japanese), and now we need to find the third team as they're not on our continent and stomp all over them, too :) The team thing is done well, I think. You share research, Wonders and line-of-sight, but still control your own civ with the civics and whatnot that you want.

And I finally saw some of the bugs I'd seen complaints about ... I think some of it must be multiplayer specific. I had it crash to desktop when I alt-tabbed out, and I had it randomly crash to desktop once during play. Patch is out now, though, finally. But I'm gonna hold off patching till I see if we're going to finish our game :) I might have a go at the CivFanatics GOTM (Game of the Month) once I've patched it ... but that's kinda scary as it's at Noble level and I've not played above Warlord yet.
