(no subject)

I am sooooooooooooooooo fried. Completely, totally, utterly fried.

We went out last night, to an Indie night at The Attic in town. It was billed as covering music 'from baggy to britpop' and it did stick to its advertising and was a complete nostalgia trip. All the stuff they played while we were at college, lots of Stone Roses, Oasis, Happy Mondays, Charlatans etc etc. I don't think they played anything more recent than 96 (which was when we graduated).

Fantastic night. However, much Newcastle Brown Ale was consumed ... and we were gonna leave at midnight. But we were still out (and still drinking) just before 1am. And I got up at 6am to go into work today, just as usual.

Work went. That's about all I can say. The purification I've been doing all week has just been taking longer than expected at every stage - so for a while today I thought I was going to end up having to stay late, but my boss came and told me I should leave some of it till Monday. Think she may have a felt a little guilty for guilt-tripping me into coming in at the normal time today. I'd gone to her yesterday afternoon and told her I'd be in late today and she pulled all sorts of faces and in the end I decided to come in as normal. I made a point of telling her I was there as normal this morning, and mentioning how tired I was. I think it was pretty obvious that I was a) hungover and b) so exhausted I couldn't think.

I managed to get away for the early train this evening, and discovered that the entire public transport system of East Anglia seemed to have broken today. The buses were screwed completely, but we still (somehow) got to the station about 1720, plenty of time before my 1735 train. Which was cancelled. Bah. And then the 1800 was going to be 'slightly' delayed. We finally left the station at 1835, only an hour after I'd thought I'd be leaving. DUnno if the buses in Ipswich were working - I got a taxi coz I'd just missed a bus and there'd be a half hour wait.

Takeaway for dinner :) Nice plain Chinese food and a bottle of Cobra beer.

Original plan was to stuff envelopes with Snowplains t-shirts this evening, but neither of us are in any fit state to do so. So hopefully we'll get it done tomorrow morning - otherwise J'll take them to work on Monday and post them there.
