Plumber duely came, took tap to bits, vanished to buy part, and has ordered part. It'll arrive tomorrow. You were right, Marbs - it was a thermostatic cartridge, and it'll cost £115. Mind you, at least it wasn't a washer replacement, it'd've been annoying to pay £55 to get someone to do a job we should've been able to do. The total bill is gonna be something approaching £250 :/

And I've hoovered, how domesticated. And done some sorting of bits of paper, we now have a box with work stuff of mine, oh and few bits piled on top of it, but I couldn't fit them into the box itself. I started going through the various bits of paper we have, and ought to finish it off, really.

Well, I'm now the proud possessor of some forms to fill in to claim Jobseekers Allowance. And an appointment for next Weds to hand them back in.

I also got enough food to mean I'll only need to get milk, bread and cereal before Monday (or possibly Tuesday, it rather depends on if I have enough stuff to put on toast for lunch till then).
