Eek! So scary!

(no subject)

The roast I cooked for yesterday's lunch was a bit of a disaster :( Nice looking chicken (well, as much as raw bird ever is), cooked it, got everything ready, started to carve it and discovered it was green inside! Which was rather grim :/ It wasn't all of it, just in near the breast bone. But given we didn't know what the problem was, we decided it was wisest just to bin the whole thing, and wash everything it'd touched with boiling water too, just in case. Probably a little overkill for some of the utensils, but it'd be tedious to get ill from something preventable. Thank goodness for the Co-op and pre-cooked roast chickens, although having cold meat with the warm veg was a little odd.

Rest of the day was pretty good though. Spent most of the afternoon playing Lego Star Wars - including one of the bonus levels where you play as Darth Vader & a Stormtrooper. Lego Stormtroopers are too cute for words, there's something about the animation that just makes them. J played Burnout Paradise in the evening (which we bought on Saturday) while I played Quake4 (now there's a surprise, I'm sure ;) ).

The music, incidentally, is all Barney's fault, not that he's likely to be reading this to see me say it. He's been singing "It means nothing to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" on irc all damn weekend & this compilation is the only place I've got that Ultravox song to exorcise the damn earworm!
